的 Germantown Academy Intervention Network (获得) is the 上学校 student assistance program. 的 获得 Team is a group of faculty and staff members that meet once per cycle to talk about how we can best support individual students and the school community at large. We receive referrals from adults in the GA community about students who may be struggling with mental health and/or drugs and alcohol and use a structured protocol to develop an action-oriented intervention plan. All 获得 team business is strictly confidential.

获得 is a team of 老师 who try to help students who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. All 获得 team members have had special training to identify those students who are in the throes of serious personal issues and then either develop a plan for helping them or, 至少, monitor their well-being. Besides the students it identifies, 获得 helps students referred by friends, 老师, 父母, and other people outside of the 获得 team. If a student is engaged in behavior inconsistent with school expectations, the student is especially encouraged to work with the 获得 team. 的 school's response to the student's behavior will be influenced by the student's willingness to address his or her difficulties.

In order to implement its philosophy the 获得 team will follow these objectives:

识别 students who appear to be at a high risk with respect to the following areas:

• 药物滥用

• 自杀
• 怀孕
• 焦虑
• physical, emotional, and sexual abuse

合并 the existing school resources into the 获得 system.

教育 the GA community about what "high risk" is and about the 获得 system and its procedures.

收集 data on observable behavior and 评估 这种情况.

请参考 the student to appropriate internal or external services when necessary.

监控 the progress of aftercare following any referrals.
